Hello lovlies, for sure most of you knows that I love to cook and eat thats why I love  reading cookbooks, cook magazine or any newspaper that have food ,recipes, restaurant reviews. One of the magazine that I always make sure to read is the Cook Magazine. So I was really excited when I was invited in the Cook Magazine Anniversary held at the  House Manila

Cook Magazine celebrates Its 16th Year with an Enchanting Evening
The country's longest running monthly food publication, Cook Magazine recently celebrated it's 16th year with an evening of merriment, entertainment and prizes. Led by Cook Magazine Advertising Manager Marlon Aldenese and his team, the yearly party dubbed "Holiday Bash" was again a coming together of advertisers, subscribers, contributors, chefs and friends - everyone who has made Cook what it is today.

The event also served as an opportunity to launch Cook's new baby for 2017 - the Business Mirror Cook Saturday Edition. Put to print in November 2016, the new insert in Business Mirror comes out every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Created to cater to a new audience, Business Mirror Cook Saturday Edition aims to share recipes, restaurant finds and everything food-related to the core readers of Business Mirror, top executives and business leaders. Food has become more about the experience and entertainment than just sustenance, filling social media with posts of "Instagrammable" food pics. This hasn't come unnoticed, even for those at the top of the economic pyramid. Quoting Cook Magazine Editor-in-Chief, Chef Dino Datu:

"Everyone has got to eat, even the busiest of executives. We'd like to give them ideas on what's new and what's good, suggest a few recipes to those who like to tinker around in the kitchen on weekends."T. Anthony Cabangon Chua, Publisher of The Business Mirror and COOK Magazine, talked about the magazine’s enduring presence for 16-years and its expansion into the broadsheet.

Houze Manila hosted the venue for the second straight year. Trophies were awarded to COOK’s Magazine top advertisers and agencies. Entertainment came in the form of singers Mayda Doryn Chua and Mr. Jeremy Layug, Saxophonist John Ray, and the Polytechnic University of Philippines’ dance group, Movers & Motion, who accompanied COOK Magazine’s Account Executive Michael Pituc to not one but two show stopping numbers.

One of the best things about the holiday bash is that COOK Magazine’s columnists and featured guests have a chance to showcase their food, making it a truly foodie affair. Chef Winston Luna, who runs a column about the business of food, runs Chefwix Catering. He served  Corn and Carrot Supreme, Hainan Fish with Ginger Sauce, Buffalo Chicken Fillet in Ranch Dipping Sauce, and Indonesian Pork BBQ Spareribs. Dessert and Baking columnists Chef Jojo Cuesta Javier and Chef Edward Mateo made their signature cakes and pastries.

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
