It is very easy to make, and kids can make it too. You can teach your children how to make some and how to sell it on the market. This summer is the perfect time to let them earn money on their own, so they will know how to value it. So to begin with, there are three types homemade of ice candy:
a. Instant juices or instant powdered premixes ice candy
It is the easiest type of ice candy. You just mix powdered juices or powdered premixes with water but make sure to lessen the water. You can buy powdered juices in any supermarket. On the other hand, instant powdered premixes are available in public market and selected supermarkets only.
If you want to use natural flavors and have a bit of chunk, fresh fruits ice candy is suitable for your taste. You can teach your kids by just mixing some ripe fruits into milk and sugar. You can choose whatever fruits you and your children prefer.
c. Cooked ice candy
It is the most complicated type of ice candy and very traditional. You can ask your grandmother or mother if she knows about it. Most people who sell ice candy don’t do it anymore. Although, cooked ice candy is the safest among the rest but makes sure to keep it cool before placing in the ice candy wrapper.
It is the all-time favorite ice candy flavor. Admit or not, chocolate flavored ice candy makes up your childhood! It is also the easiest to make.
Because of its benefits and rampant in the market, Buko has been one of the favorites of the masses so why don’t turn it into an ice candy which is way refresher!
3. Salad
It is a very distinctive flavor which loved by most Filipinos. The mixing of flavors remind us of the holiday season and brings us back to our childhood in an instant! However, it is not easy to put in the ice candy wrapper but surely, a hit in the market!
4. Halo-Halo
It is a traditional summer treat that everyone loves! Halo-halo ice candy is a hit, although it is a little bit pricey and a little bit challenging to make!
5. Mango
Summer is the season for mango so the price is very cheap. You can take advantage of it and make some mango ice candy at home.
This is also a fun way for your kids to enjoy their summer vacation.
