Mom's Day Out : A Day Of Pampering For Moms

" To the world, you are a Mother but to your family, you are the World"

Hi, lovelies, So how's your weekend?

Is it fun, tiring or just so-so?
We woke up early today but unlike our daily routine, today is a bit different. Last night together with family, we decided to split all the responsibilities inside the house. Yes!, I'm not the only one who will do all the chores inside the house, not only today but every day and you will know why I changed the standard routine for my family.

I'm a SAHM for almost 6 years now. I grew up in a household where the wife does all the household chores, family management, kids, grocery shopping, bills and so on. I remember my grandma always told me that it's the responsibility of the wife/mother to take care of everything even to the smallest details.
When I decided to work online and started blogging, there were times that I felt like I'm worn out because of pressure to meet the deadlines and doing my responsibility as a mom and wife. Time Mangement? Does this one really work, Yes but we still need some help to finish all the task every day?
Every mom is a wonderful woman for me. A mom's heart will do everything for their family and sometimes forget to take care of their own self, which leads them to more emotional stress and sometimes, guilt.
How important is it for mom's like us to have our own special or "me time"? That question was answered when I attended the "Mom's Day Out" held in I'M Onsen Spa organized by Sun Life Philippines and ABC Digital

At the start of the event I was so excited to know that we are going to enjoy a relaxing massage in I'M Onsen Spa but at  the same time I was also thinking of my daughter, I was thinking if she already has her snacks, is she taking a nap or is she playing outside?, well most mothers might have the same concerns as mine even if I know that my husband is there to watch over her, I still felt the urge of making sure that my family is doing okay.

At that time the event started in which Ms.Michele Alignay, our speaker, talked about Self-care and Motherhood, which really caught my attention.
There are times that I wanted to rest or get some sleep or if there is something that I wanted to do but I need to finish important things,  ending up in the scenario that I'll have my sleep after I finished everything. There a lot of times that  I ignore what my body is telling me which leads to more problems.

But what I've learned from Ms. Michele Alignay, Family Life Specialist is that Self Care is really important to every mom, having a balanced motherhood. After listening to her speech, I realize that I have an imbalanced motherhood.
I've learned that we should always have time for ourselves to enjoy even just for 10 minutes.
Mom's are also human, even if we wanted to finish a lot of things our body also needs to be pampered and rest. Giving ourselves a chance to breathe, to have some " ME time" doesn't make us a less mom. The more we take care of ourselves, it also helps us see how positive life is being a mom.
I've also learned that I have to flirt with my husband before others do, this one made me smile. Yeah, how can I flirt with my husband if he comes home from work and I'll look horrible and messy? Let's start to manage our time, after doing all the important things that we need to do, take a shower, use that bottle of perfume in your drawer, wear your loveliest nighties, for sure it's going to be a lovely night.
Self-care, some " Me Time " has a big contribution for me to have a positive outlook. Now, I know that to be able to properly take care of the family, I should first start taking care of myself.

Have you watched  "She Said, She Said" by Nic Reyes #sunshorts film? I encourage you lovelies especially moms to watch it.

I cried after watching this video. Every mom's dream is to see her child wear that graduation uniform. I felt so overwhelmed while watching the video. A mom can do everything for her kids. No matter how tired or busy a mom can be, in our hearts, our children are the most important. This video gives me the courage to continue what I'm doing for the sake of my child, for her future. I felt good thinking that one day my kids will also graduate in one of the best schools because we already planned for their future ahead of time.

How is it important for us moms to give the best for our children?

For me, it's really important since we all know that every year every school are increasing their tuition fees. My Chelsea is only 5 years old, as a mom, I really want to send her to the best school because I know she will benefit the most especially when she grew up and took her step in life.
I hate to say this but right now my daughter is enrolled in a school which is lacking when it comes to academics and a lot of things which best school can provide. I was eager to protect her and make sure that I will not think about her school fees when he goes to college. This is what Sun Life offers for our child's educational future

While looking at the graph and how tuition fees in college will be, this makes me think that as early as now I needed to plan her future ahead.
This is going to be a great help for our child to achieve their dreams and fewer worries for us parents.

Time for Some Relaxing Massage

I just love I'M Onsen Spa, starting from the staff, amenities, and service. They have secured locker wherein you can safely put your things. The robe is very nice. They have a sauna, jacuzzi and shower room.  Even their elevator has the minty aroma which makes the atmosphere more relaxing. We waited for the staff that will assist us to our designated room. We had a cup of peppermint tea while waiting.

Had a shiatsu massage, this is perfect for me since you can choose if you wanted a soft or mild massage. I almost fell asleep while Ate Maricar, my massage therapist is doing a very relaxing massage on my back. It's like all the stress for the whole week was gone. I felt speechless since  I was so relaxed after the 1-hour massage.
I would definitely go back to I'M Onsen Spa and have a relaxing massage. You should try it lovelies. It will relieve your stress and makes you feel young... kidding aside, every mom deserves to have this kind of pampering.

A Sumptuous Dinner at Bloom Restaurant

After a relaxing massage, we had our dinner in Bloom Restaurant located on the 4th floor of I'M Hotel. This is what I can really call as a MOM'S DAY OUT! The Bloom Restaurant offered a wide selection of Filipino and International Cuisine. I tried most of the food in small portions, this what I always do in a buffet restaurant so I can enjoy and taste everything.

You can even request your preferred pasta and they will prepare it for you. I just loved their Sushi and Maki area. The dessert section will also be a great treat to those who love sweets.

The beef is so tender. I enjoyed the crepe with cherry filling and ice cream on top. I ended my meal with a cup of brewed coffee.

Went back home with a bag full of goodies. Yes, I can say that I was so happy and I will be aiming to have a more balanced motherhood and will make sure to take care of myself so I can really take care of my family.

This MOM's Day Out is what every mom deserves to experience! It doesn't need to be the whole day but makes sure to have a special time just for yourselves.  We moms deserve it!

That another batch of pampering day would surely be a welcome treat for busy moms. Especially now that a number of our kids are back to school, certainly the moms of the house are all up early in the morning to prepare. I always believe that moms deserve some me time. And so generous od Sun life to think of and organize ways to treat the lovely moms to some pampering activities. Plus, they also get to learn finances and the like.

Wow! You were treated very well, not just to a massage pampering and food, but also to a seminar that will enhance your life as a mom, a wife, but most of all a woman. I'd like to sign up to this event too. :)

WAHMS like us need to spoil ourselves and take a break from all the mommy stuff once in awhile. How nice it is to be treated to a massage, good food, and an enlightening and uplifting seminar and meet new mommy friends while you're at it. :)

Moms deserve "Me time". Lucky you that you were pampered in this event and you also learned a lot about motherhood too. In my case, blogging is already my "Me time".

What a great treat for Moms! Sun Life is getting stronger with their insurance offerings and it's a wise decision to put the moms in their target market.

Tigdas/Measles: Mga Sintomas, Pagkain at Lunas

Pagkatapos ng Dengvaxia incident maraming magulang ang natakot na pabakunahan ang mga anak ng libreng bakuna na inaalok ng DOH Health Centers. Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
