Essilor New Shared Service Office to Strengthens Global Support



Strengthening its support shared services for a broader, better and more global reach, Essilor, the world’s leading ophthalmic optics company, recently celebrated the inauguration of Essilor Shared Services Philippines Inc. (ESSPI), a global Information Technology and Finance Shared Services organization supporting Essilor’s global locations on a 24/7 capability.

Located in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, the new shared services office received a level three certification from Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for both IT Development and Services. It provides robust shared services for IT applications, infrastructure, e-commerce, digital solutions, and finance to support the Essilor business all over the world.
ESSPI’s IT application shared services is equipped with global helpdesk that ensures continuous business via various channels; applications and development support team who are responsible in providing solutions needed by the business; project management and quality assurance team who ensures the development of applications; and data management team who consolidates, analyzes and generates critical data and reports.


Delivering high-quality infrastructure services, ESSPI also has experts working in the infrastructure team. Its e-commerce and digital solutions team develops online and mobile applications for the convenience of customers while the finance shared services team delivers accurate and high-quality financial reports to seven transitions and nine Essilor European entities worldwide.


With over 160 employees, ESSPI is still actively recruiting to ramp up its workforce in both IT and finance.

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

  Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year.
