SM City North Edsa celebrates Independence Day through showcasing Filipino Inspired-Collection

Celebrating our independence is a way of honoring the lives and efforts of our ancestors for giving their lives to fight for our country but more than that, this also serves also as a reminder to us that whatever privilege that we are enjoying today are due to the hardships of our Filipino Heroes.

One of the best ways of celebrating our independence is through showcasing the talents that we enhanced as Filipinos.

Last Tuesday, June 12, SM City North Edsa celebrated Independence Day in partnership with one of the hottest street fashion designer Jeffrey Rogador, whose designs are a celebration of immense and diverse Filipino culture. His collection features a style with a concoction of contemporary and deep-rooted aesthetics that both serves to form and functionality. It is about dressing up and celebrating the liberty, diversity, and inclusivity, regardless of age.

Jeffrey Rogadors designs and works represent comfort, style and a ready to wear for the people who love to go with style without sacrificing the comfort of what they wear. His designs are simple and staple. Rogador is a graduate of Fine Arts from the University of Sto. Tomas and is fond of making art that is wearable. To make his vision come to life, he took up fashion design in the Fashion Institute of the Philippines and joined the 6th Mega Young Designers Competition and he became one of the mentors of the prestigious  Philippine Fashion competition.

During the event at SM City North Edsa, the premier shopping mall in Asia highlighted a glamorous streetwear fashion show called " Manila Street Wear " at the Block Atrium. 60 aspiring models of all shapes and sizes represented the genuine Filipino people of today in an urban setting. The fashion show was attended by famous celebrities, social media influencers, and sports enthusiasts.

SM City North Edsa constant and loyal shoppers were able to experience and enjoy other art-related activities like hand-painted clothes workshop and live fashion wall art demo. There was also an exhibit and selling of seven different Filipino culture-inspired collections of Jeffrey Rogador at The Block Atrium til June 13, 201. The rare collections of Rogador will definitely fit and match to the fashion needs of the Millennials.

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
