Islas Pinas: The Food and Heritage Village at DoubleDragon Plaza



As much as the 7,641 islands that we have in our country, we are truly blessed to have a very diverse culinary history from our ancestors and this has been nurtured and perfected in the different regions that we have, giving us varieties of food specialties that we enjoy with a unique taste of each place of origin.


This is one of the reasons why it is very important for us to have a common place to showcase our culture not only for us to know how rich our country is when it comes to our history but also with the different flavors.

Islas Pinas, the newest indoor Filipino Food, and Heritage Village officially opened its door to the public. The new specific destination for both local and foreign guests. It was designed to showcase the richness and high spirit of Filipino culture. Islas Pinas lets you explore, discover, experience and know more about Philippine's heritage sites, hospitality, natural resources and most importantly the Filipino cuisine.


Islas Pinas is a collaboration between Double Dragon group and Chef Margarita Fores, this project aims to inspire a love for the Philippines by showcasing the country's beautiful sites and various regional cuisine. It has a seating capacity of over 700 seats, in an expansive 2500 square meter space. Islas Pinas.

Chef Margarita Fores a Filipino chef, runs a variety of restaurant that serves Italian cuisines. Was named as Asia's Best female Chef of 2016. Her mission is to bring Filipino cuisine to global prominence. She also aims for guest to experience the Philippines with their five senses and beyond.

  • BILAO is coined after the woven winnowing basket where comfort snacks like the Pansit (Fried Noodles ) and puto ( rice cakes ) are usually served.
  • PAMPANG or Shore in English will allow guest to enjoy chosen fresh catch kinds of seafood cooked to their own preference.
  • PANADERYA offers neighborhood favorite bread such as ensaymada, pan de sal, and kalihim
  • TUSOK-TUSOK offers street food finds like Kwek-Kwek, barbecue on a stick, grilled  chicken intestine ( ISAW )
  • PANULAK this is where Pinoy all-time favorite beverage will be available like Halo-halo and, fresh Buko Juice.

The new establishment will also feature modern and traditional cultural performances and games to ensure a fun and truly Pinoy ambiance. The place is fully airconditioned. Located at the bustling DD Meridian park in the Bay Area along Edsa Extension cor Macapagal Avenue. The location of Islas Pinas is very accessible for both private and public transportation.


DoubleDragon Plaza at DD Meridian Park is only a few minutes drive from airport terminals and only about 5 minutes away from NAIA X.

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

  Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits.
