Nowadays you do not need to undergo years of training to cook rice in a right manner, all you need to do is rely on your kitchen buddy rice cooker and it will do the job for you. Rice cookers have already surpassed its sole purpose and have become a versatile kitchen appliance, aside from cooking, some find it perfect for baking, cooking viands, and many more. So with this being said, French cookware and small domestic appliances (SDA) manufacturer Tefal’s first-of-its-kind spherical pot rice cookers have arrived in the Philippines and are set to revolutionize the way Filip

Shrimp and Brocolli Pasta with Lemon

Pasta has been one of the dish that us Filipinos love and admit it or not we also love to create our own pasta dishes at home that we can share to our family and friends Pasta is one of the dish or snacks at home. There are different kind of pasta sauce, some are using white sauce, red sauce, pesto sauce and other sauces for pasta but are you aware that we can also make an amazing pasta dish using lemons as the sauce. Lemons are the good source of vitamins C, vitamin A, Vitamin E, zinc, calcium, iron, protein and other nourishing elements. Lemons contain antioxidant and cancer-fighting properties. Last week, I was invited to be one of the finalists of  Shopwise The Big  Cook-Off Challenge held at Shopwise, Sucat. The theme was " Pasta Around the world". We are asked to make our own pasta recipe. That was the first time I cooked the Shrimp and Broccoli Pasta with Lemons. This recipe is good for 2-3 persons. Healthy Meal: Pan-fried Tofu with Mixed Ground Beef and Veggies

Being a mom, we are used to waking up early and sleep late. Making sure that everything is in place and ready for the next day. It is the same with the meal that I prepare for my family. A one-dish meal that we can share during lunch or dinner time. When I say one dish meal, it means it's already packed with all the nutrients and vitamins that our body needs, especially for growing up kids. What's good about the one dish meals aside from it having a full meal in one, it is also not time-consuming. You can finish a simple dish in 15-30 minutes. As long as you have the right ingredients and seasoning in your kitchen, preparing a yummy and healthy dish will be easy. If I don't have much time to do grocery shopping, I usually check what's available in the fridge or in our food stock. Here is one of the recipes that I can share with you that you can also prepare for your family ************************** Healthy Meal: Pan-fried Tofu with Mixed G

Cooking up steps to self-improvement

Cooking can be simple and easy for some and others might find it a bit difficult to handle for different reasons. Some started to value and know the importance of cooking or making a mess in the kitchen at an early age but still enjoys the atmosphere and willing to learn more about it. Young professionals today are not only eating out more but also leaning heavily on the convenience of takeout. But that leads to a whole different set of problems. Not only is it more expensive to eat out, but when you live on meals made for you by other people, you tend to gravitate towards the unhealthy- fast food, deep-fried, overly sweet or salty, or loaded with saturated fat. That can lead to weight gain and all the health problems that come with an unhealthy diet. Skills to a healthier, happier life However, a lot of men and women have decided that enough is enough and take matters into their own hands, learning how to do the basics that have been forgotten while growing up.
