Frontliners, the new name for heroes

With more than 1,500 positive cases in our country and more than 70 deaths as in writing, Covid-19 has taken a toll on our fellow Filipino's health and livelihood. It is like facing an invisible enemy that needs to be contained immediately to prevent more damage.

A lot of countries took preventive measures to prevent the virus from infecting everyone, our government also implemented Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to the whole country for 30 days to avoid local transmission, a lot of us are forced to stay at home, almost all of us needed to stop our normal daily routines to limit contact to avoid and lessen the cases of Covid-19 in our country.

I felt afraid for my family and loved ones and myself. I don't want them to catch the virus and I believe we have the same feelings for all the people that are important for us, especially the virus has not spared even the lives of the doctors and nurses who are treating the sick.

Amid this pandemic that is causing pain and sorrow to almost everyone in the world, we are still blessed with people who are brave enough to go on work and risk their lives to help us overcome this crisis, they are our brave  Frontliners.

They are our brave Doctors, Farmers, Bankers, Police, Military, Supermarket and Grocery Workers, Nurses, and Food and Health workers who work tirelessly to make sure that we can all survive this pandemic together.

During the height of panic buying, not only the basic commodities are important, almost everyone needed cash on their hand to buy what they need, and that is the reason why banks like BDO needed to be open and our brave bankers needed to dedicate their selves to ensure that there is enough cash for everyone to use and avoid chaos.

Believe me, our friendly bankers' smile lessens the worries that we feel during these times, they are #MyBankHero in this nation in need of #BANKyanihan.

That is why when I see stories on Facebook posting about the sacrifices of our Frontliners, I never fail to share or like those posts to show them support and let them know that we appreciate what they do, I would also like everyone to see these posts for us to appreciate further the efforts of our Frontliners.

Like us, they are also, parents who think of the future of their kids, siblings who are worried about their brothers or sisters' safety, friends who wish the be reunited.

Let us help our Hero Frontliners on this battle with a very simple task of staying at home and including them on our prayers to keep them safe from harm's way.

Yes Momsh, by staying at home we are contributing a lot for the safety of everyone else esp our frontliners. For being so brave going in and out of work, for those dreadful risky days treating patients, salute to all of them. We know their sacrifices are admirable and commendable knowing they have their own families too waiting at home and everyday is a battle with the enemy that can't be seen. When i saw the post, of her positivity everyday after lockdown, with no means of transportation and to provide service to BDO customers, nakakatouch and kahanga hanga ang dedications ng ating bank heroes. #MyBankHero #BANKyanihan.

Dengue is Real, Keep Your Child Safe with OFF! Lotion

Our Family is always our top priority. It was September of 2015 when my daughter was hospitalized and turned out to be positive for Dengue, as a mom I was so scared. Nurses always come in to our room every 6 hours to get blood sample from my daughter for them to monitor her platelet count.  It was an unpleasant sight for me to see my daughter in that condition at her young age. When my daughter cries due to the pain of needle inserted to her skin, it was a more painful scene and sound for me, wishing that all of what I see and hear are not real, it was really heart breaking. It was that same month in which Dengue case was really prominent and a lot of kids are being rushed to the same hospital to be treated, we stayed in the hospital for more than a week for my daughter's recovery and since then, I always said to my self "Never Again" that I will allow this to happen and was thankful to God that she guided my daughter Before our stay in the ho...
