Live Brighter Session with Mr.Jonathan Yabut

Are you still undecided which path you should take? Are you still questioning or asking yourself what you like to be or who you want to be? Are you still figuring out if you still want to work 8-9 hrs  in the company or are you willing to take a risk to come out from your comfort zone?

Those are the same questions I have in mind. That's why it was a great opportunity for me when I attended the Sun Life "Live Brighter Session." A gathering of millennials, bloggers and people who wish to be a financial advisor of Sun Life. I was also struggling at my age, I know that it's already a bit late but like Jonathan Yabut said " You're not too small to Dream Big"

Jonathan Yabut was the 1st ever winner of the hit reality show " Apprentice Asia ". He was also a Chief of staff of Air Asia for one year after winning in the reality show hosted by the Malaysian mogul Tony Fernandez.  Now he runs his own JY Consultancy & Ventures , which operates in Mnila, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

During the Live Brighter Session, Mr Yabut talked about work principles that has brought him where he is now , and also emphasized the importance of serving a social purpose.

His speech motivate me to pursue my goals and dreams in life. I'm a person that is contented workin 8-9 hrs , do things for others. I didn't dream big after college and when I gave birth.

There are quotes that Mr.Jonathan shared to us like

" Successful people are not contented with one time victories "
Which I think is really true. This is one of the human characteristics. Which we continue to aim to the best version of ourselves.

" You are never too small, to dream big "
Sometime we decided to slowdown because of our age. I remember telling myself when I was only 21 that I don't need to rush things because I'm still young. That time I tink that I should only dream about something that will workout for me. Which now I think was all wrong.
A lot of opportunity I have missed because of my mindset that time. It doesn't matter how young we are , what status in life we have or where we came from., Anyone can dream big as long as you work smart about it.

This question from Mr.Jonathan Yabut makes a great impact in me and for other attendees of the Live Brighter Session

"Do you have some lettuce in your life that you can let go? "

The lettuce can be a person, work or other stuff in our life that makes it hard for us to be successful.
Since that time I have been thinking what are the " lettuce" in my life that hinders me to be closer in my dreams. I think I'm really thinking too much that I'm accepting to much things, trying too much things just to please others.

This quotes and questions are stuck in my mind. After few days of trying to figure out what I really like to be after 5 years from now, I decided to focus on one thing and be prepared of achieving those goals in life.

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
