the DILG in partnership with SM Prime to promote emergency preparedness.
MANILA, Philippines, 8
August 2026 — SM Prime Holdings has teamed up with the Department of the
Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and
the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to launch the Unified 911 for Resilience:
National Campaign — a nationwide push to get more Filipinos thinking about
emergency preparedness and to tighten coordination across the country's
emergency response system.
A Show of Force at the MOA Globe
The launch took place at the SM
Mall of Asia Globe, timed to National Disaster Resilience Month, and drew more
than 2,000 representatives from the DILG, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the
Philippine National Police, local government units, barangays, and other
partner agencies — all there for one message: building safer communities isn't
any single group's job.
“At SM, we believe that
resilience is a shared responsibility. Building safer, more prepared
communities requires the government, businesses, and citizens to work together
toward a common purpose,” said SM Supermalls Vice President for Operations
Junias M. Eusebio.
“It is an honor for SM to be
the private sector partner and to stand alongside the DILG, the PNP, and the
Bureau of Fire Protection in launching the Unified 911 for Resilience: National
Campaign,” he added.

safer and more resilient communities during the launch of the Unified 911 for
Resilience: National Campaign.
Reaching Millions Through SM's Network
The campaign's reach came down
to timing as much as turnout. Unified 911 materials went live simultaneously
across SM Prime's digital network nationwide — the MOA Globe included,
alongside nearly 400 cinema screens across the country. That kind of synchronized
rollout is exactly why SM's footprint gets used for public campaigns like this
one: it puts the message in front of millions of Filipinos in a single push,
rather than trickling out over weeks.
Department of the Interior and Local Government
Secretary Jonvic Remulla graced the launch of the Unified 911 for Resilience
campaign.
Who Was in the Room
DILG Secretary Juanito Victor
“Jonvic” C. Remulla and Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano led the event,
joined by senior officials from the DILG, the Philippine National Police, the
Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, the
Office of Civil Defense, the Philippine Coast Guard, the Emergency 911 National
Office, and the City Government of Pasay.
The partnership adds to a longer list of public safety and
disaster-preparedness initiatives SM Prime has backed with government agencies
— using its nationwide malls and digital platforms to put critical information
in front of as many Filipinos as possible, and to help build a broader culture
of preparedness across the country.
