Explore Philippines Media Launch and Travel Spread -An Invitation to Public for a 2 Day Travel Talk






 I started blogging,late last year. When  I decided to write down my recipes and home cooked meals but you know when it comes to cooking there is a never ending stories and learning.The good thing about cooking is we can  experiment and explore.  I still like to learn more about local/international dishes  and for me to able to that is I have to travel and see it with my own eyes. That's why I love reading cookbooks and travel magazines . It is very helpful and gives an lot of ideas.


That's why I was so excited when I scored an invite for the EXPLORE PHILIPPINES MAGAZINE MEDIA LAUNCH held at the Mango Tree Manila in BGC,Taguig.

It was a very informative and fun event hosted by Mr.Julian Rodriguez.
I was able to meet all the people behind the creative concept of Explore Philippines Magazine like Ms. France Pinzon ( Editor-in-chief )Ms.Christina Po,(Publisher),Alyssa Lapid(Managing Director) Jester Pamulaklakin (Creative Director),Means Hona ( Account Executive ) Eena Macaspac ( Social Media Officer )

During the Media  Launch,I was also had a chance to meet the speakers for Travel Talks. They shared they experiences and give their advice and tips.

Speakers:

Ms.April Cuenca, she's so pretty and bubbly. Ms.Cuenca is the CEO/Founder of Tripkada.

Mr. Paul Catiang of Puzzled Owl,he is the speaker for Travel and Food Writing .
HalfFil and Half Indian.Despite of the all the mouthwatering, expensive and delicious food that he tasted he still love the local cuisine.
I really like this guy and want to hear more about his tips when it comes to food writing. I dont have background in Journalism or Writing. I just write whatever I like.Since I'm a foodie for sure ,his tips,advices and talks will be a great help for someone like me.



AG Saño talks about the Marine Conservation
I admired this guy so much. At the age of 12 he already started travelling and exploring. Doing things that you will never imagined.
Her advocacy for the Marine Conservation is truly inspiring.



RAF Dionisio of MAD TRAVEL will talk about Volun-Tourism
Angelo Mendoza will give you helpful tips when it comes to TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY

After hearing some of the experiences and advocacy of the speakers,we are treated to nice meal from Mango Tree Manila.
These Thai cocktails are so nice. The Cheesecake is not too sweet and just perfect for me,the Phadthai is like the one I tasted in a Thai Restaurant when I was in Hong Kong. Overall the food that was served during the event are great.






In every event like this ,there will always be the fun part that everyone is waiting for ,the raffle!! Yey!
Thankful I'm one of the lucky person to win a huge prize.I'm so thankful to Ms.Mars who invited me,Ms.Beth and ofcourse to Explore Philippines Magazine.

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

  Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course!
