SPAM®-plify Your Daily Meals!





Hi Lovelies!
It's getting hotter everyday and I can really feel summer kicking in. This kind of season makes me wish to go on a a beach resort or do a backyard party. I usually pack some canned good that are easy to open and cook. One of my favorite brand is SPAM®. My grandma always have SPAM® perfectly arranged in our kitchen cabinet.Now that I'm also a mom,  SPAM® is also a staple thing in our kitchen. You can say that my husband and I, are really a SPAM® fan/lover.

So I was very excited to attend the 1st ever campaign of SPAM® here in the Philippines. Held at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center last Monday.
The SPAM® Can Campaign let us discover new things about what SPAM can do.



 On the said event, Chef Sharwin Tee taught us new SPAM-MAZING™ recipes like SPAM® Tokwa't Baboy and SPAM® Sisig.

SPAM®Fries, SPAM® Sweet and Sour, SPAM® Shanghai, SPAM® Puto

Here are some of the ways on how to prepare SPAM®. I really love the Luto with SPAM®. Will make this one on this coming weekend. For sure anyone in the family will love it. It is so easy to prepare.

The " SPAM CAN! " campaign was launched 2014 in the United Stated. This year their tagline is " No other luncheon meat can do what SPAM® can do " This campaign wants to inspire everyone to comeup with new ways on how to enjoy SPAM® in local recipes.

The SPAM® CAN event works in partnership with the Children's Hour through the Make a Hero SPAMWICH™ booth.
For Php 100, you can make your own sandwich and the proceeds will be donated to the partner foundation

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

  Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course!
