20 Startups Qualified for the ASEAN-Wide Pitch at STARTUPS TO THE RESQUE



QBO ( 'ku-bo' ) is an innovation hub or platform that help start-up community to develop their talent and grow. QBO also represents teamwork. They invited entrepreneurs, talented individual and even investors to showcase Filipino innovation and build great companies With this in mind QBO Innovation Hub organized an international pitching competition dubbed as  STARTUPS TO THE RESQUE.

This is the first public-private initiative startups formed by IdealSpace, J.P Morgan, DOST, and DTI in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP ), The Philippine Disaster Resilience  Foundation (PDRF ) and Slingshot.

Out of 100 innovation solutions submitted by companies across ASEAN, only 20 startups were selected. These 20 startups companies showcased their products and services during the International pitching competition held at the Department of Trade and IndustryDTI annual Slingshot last Oct. 20,2017 at the International Convention Center (PICC )

All the twenty startups companies will showcase their great ideas at the Slingshot ASEAN 2017 and the top six will be invited to pitch at the stage. Only the Top ThreeStartups Companies with the best pitches will be selected as winners. The startups are selected based on the creativity, scalability, and feasibility of their ideas that can help solve some of the today's global issue. This competition would also like to promote and spread the word about awareness on the different crises here in ASEAN countries.

The first prize winner will take home$10,000 and will be given an opportunity to work with the UNDP and deploy their solutions with PDRF. The second winner will receive $4,0000 while the third prize winner will receive $2000.
