Healthy Meal: Pan-fried Tofu with Mixed Ground Beef and Veggies

Being a mom, we are used to waking up early and sleep late. Making sure that everything is in place and ready for the next day. It is the same with the meal that I prepare for my family.

A one-dish meal that we can share during lunch or dinner time. When I say one dish meal, it means it's already packed with all the nutrients and vitamins that our body needs, especially for growing up kids.

What's good about the one dish meals aside from it having a full meal in one, it is also not time-consuming. You can finish a simple dish in 15-30 minutes.

As long as you have the right ingredients and seasoning in your kitchen, preparing a yummy and healthy dish will be easy.

If I don't have much time to do grocery shopping, I usually check what's available in the fridge or in our food stock.

Here is one of the recipes that I can share with you that you can also prepare for your family

Healthy Meal: Pan-fried Tofu with Mixed Ground Beef and Veggies

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack ( 100 grams )Firm Tofu
  • 1/4 kg of ground beef (marinated with 1/2 sachet of the Aji Ginisa )
  • 4 Pieces dried Shitake mushrooms (soaked in a bowl of warm water and diced)
  • 1 pack Ajinomoto Ginisa Flavor Seasoning Mix
  • 2 tbsp Ajinomoto Sarsaya Oyster Sauce
  • 4 bokchoy leaves chopped
  • 5 pcs of asparagus chopped (can be replaced with different vegetable depending on the availability)
  • 2tbsp of mushroom water
  • 1/8 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp of cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp of Olive Oil
Directions:

1. Set stove in low fire, heat pan together with 1 tbsp of Olive Oil, fry Tofu until both sides achieved the golden brown texture then remove and separate. On the same pan,  stir-fry ground beef until golden brown and separate as well.

2. Using the same pan to stir fry chopped Bokchoy and Asparagus (this is for the vegetable to absorb the meat flavor) Add 1/2 sachet of Ajinomoto Ginisa Flavoring Seasoning Mix, add diced Shitake mushroom and beef.

3. Add 2 tbsp of Ajinomoto Sarsaya Oyster Sauce and a dash of pepper, Add the mushroom water mixture.
On a small bowl mix, 2 Tbsp of mushroom water ( where the dried Shitake mushroom was soaked) and 1/8  tsp of cornstarch.

4.Cook for 2 more minutes. Top the mixed ground beef and vegetable on the pan-fried tofu.

5. Serve while it's hot
