Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital celebrates 70th Anniversary

Many Filipinos are getting more and more meticulous when it comes to their healthcare provider, practitioners or even hospitals. That is why a lot of hospitals today are making sure that they are always providing the best and world-class services, just like Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital (JDMH).

Founded by a pioneering Medical Examinations Top-notcher from University of Santo Tomas, Dr. Jesus C. Delgado and his wife Mrs. Carmen Bayot-Delgado on August 1, 1948, enhancing the quality of life through excellent personalized patient care was their vision in setting up Delgado Clinic.

As the clinic continues to grow in the 1960’s a helping hand came from their daughter Dr. Mary Rose Delgado- Abad who came back from the United States together with his husband, Dr. Rainerio S. Abad, an OB-GYNE specialist and Oncologist.

After the demise of both Dr. and Mrs. Jesus Delgado in the 1980’s, the reigns of the medical facility were transferred to its former President and Administrator, Ma. Violeta Delgado-Cojuangco, who then completed her master’s degree in Hospital Administration with honors at Ateneo De Manila.
The clinic stayed true to its commitment in rendering high-quality service and continues to meet growing health care needs of the community. In 1988; it was renamed in the memory of the late founder of the clinic, Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital. (JDMH).

By 2017, JDMH became the 14th family member of the Metro Pacific Group of hospitals led by Mr. Manuel V. Pangilinan. Aside from enabling the 70-bed tertiary hospital to renovate its facilities, this also gave way in making the hospital environment even livelier, as observed positively by the patients. And to deliver excellent service with accuracy and expand its capacity to serve its surrounding communities this also gave room for upgrading its medical equipment.

JDMH is the 2nd in Asia and the very 1st in the Philippines to obtain the Senographe Pristina™ by GE Healthcare, a digital Mammography with Tomosynthesis which allows the patient to control the pressure of the compression, providing them with the comfort and ease the pain during the procedure and delivering exceptional image quality at the same time.

Last June, JDMH also opened their Center for Women’s Health that offers  comprehensive health care services specially dedicated for women composed of the following
  1.  First Time Mom Unit- A facility that caters to need of the soon to be first-time moms.
  2.  Ultrasound System: GE Voluson E10- A top-of-the-line premium 4D OB/GYNE machine.
  3. Digital Mammography: Senographe Pristina ™ by GE Healthcare

Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital will continue to improve its facilities, equipment, and services in the years to come to fulfill its commitment to provide health care services that works for women of all ages with utmost care and excellent service.

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
