Shell promotes energy conciousness to the younger generation

We always dream of a better future for our children and with that same reason is why all the decisions that we made today matters a lot since it will be the foundation of the future that they will stand on and the generations to come.

It requires a lot of effort and cooperation from our community to help our future generation to have a green and bright future, and it all starts with cleaner energy and efficiency.

As it celebrates 105 years of operation in the Philippines, Pilipinas Shell (Shell) renews its commitment to deliver more and cleaner energy to help meet growing needs and find ways to use energy more efficiently.

At the heart of this commitment is the goal to #MakeTheFuture of energy one that is environmentally and socially responsible and thus, sustainable with the help of all stakeholders, including kids.

Shell launched its #MakeTheFuture campaign with an event designed for kids at the Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City Taguig.

The goal of the said event is to enlighten the kids of the importance of a greener source of energy and to let them know about the steps that are being made to safeguard their future.

"Everything that we are doing today impacts on future generations, and it is interesting to see what tomorrow's decision-makers and leaders know about energy, how they're affected and what they think must happen to ensure that Shell can help make the future sustainable for them," says Cesar Romero, country chairman of Shell companies in the Philippines.

By holding the Kids #MakeTheFuture event, Shell intends to create an opportunity to promote energy consciousness and education among youngsters, as well as to invite them to join the discussion on improving and making the future of energy.

The young attendees were among the first to see the #MakeTheFuture campaign video which highlights inspiring stories of kids who benefit from ongoing programs like Acess to Energy, Shell's program to power off-grid communities using renewable energy.

Romero was joined by Managing Director of Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. (SPEX) Don Paulino and Country Health ManagerDr Rose Rivera in providing insights on the many ways that everyone, including kids, uses and expend energy, and what Shell does to provide them the energy that they need.

Among those who attended the Kids #MakeTheFuture event were children of celebrities like Nathan Linsangan, son of Camille Pratts; Micaela, Daughter of Danica Sotto-Pingris; and Eia, daughter of Sherilyn Reyes-Tan. Together with other kids from the Trumpets Playshop, The School of Academics and Arts, Eton international School, and children of invited media, they responded to and asked questions during kid-friendly discussions held to jumpstart their energy education.

Aside from being one of the largest Fuel company in the country, Shell never failed to give back to the community and to the environment, making future energy cleaner.

Dengue is Real, Keep Your Child Safe with OFF! Lotion

Our Family is always our top priority. It was September of 2015 when my daughter was hospitalized and turned out to be positive for Dengue, as a mom I was so scared. Nurses always come in to our room every 6 hours to get blood sample from my daughter for them to monitor her platelet count.  It was an unpleasant sight for me to see my daughter in that condition at her young age. When my daughter cries due to the pain of needle inserted to her skin, it was a more painful scene and sound for me, wishing that all of what I see and hear are not real, it was really heart breaking. It was that same month in which Dengue case was really prominent and a lot of kids are being rushed to the same hospital to be treated, we stayed in the hospital for more than a week for my daughter's recovery and since then, I always said to my self "Never Again" that I will allow this to happen and was thankful to God that she guided my daughter Before our stay in the ho...
