Sharp PH bags Home Appliance Brand of the Year at VP Choice Awards 2019





Village Pipol just got bigger! The first-ever VP Choice Awards finally happened and it has been trending upon its launch. Presented on January 23, it surely was a success with almost 200 guests attending the event. Brand executives, online personalities and celebrities experienced a one-of-a-kind red carpet awarding ceremony. Held at Casino Filipino Manila Bay, VP Choice Awards accommodated guests at the main ballroom.

ABS-CBN’s Ultimate Bidaman winner Jin Macapagal and GMA Network’s IT-girl Ashley Ortega hosted the first-ever VP Choice Awards. Hailed as the star-studded gathering with millennial artists Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Darren Espanto, Mimiyuuuh and even the famous SB19 gracing the event. Of course, the awards night featured a tight competition among all nominees three major categories: Travel, Lifestyle and Entertainment.
Sharp PH wins Home Appliance Brand of the Year
For the lifestyle category, Sharp Philippines is one of the big winners, bagging the Home Appliance Brand of the Year award. Other nominees include Fujidenzo, LG, TCL, Whirlpool, and Samsung.


Sharp Philippines Senior Manager for New Business Development Peter Villanueva accepted the award. “Thank you Village Pipol magazine for this award. Throughout these years, I believe Sharp has been a part of Filipino lives. We will continue to be with you as you also grow up as future parents,” he said in his acceptance speech.
Sharp Philippines has been continuously producing quality home appliance products that made Filipino lives easier and more comfortable.

All winners has been chosen based Online Votes (50%), Editorial Team Deliberation (30%), and Panel of Judges (20%).

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

  Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits.
