LAC Acquires MASQUELIER'S® French Pine Bark Extract, Deepening V3 Group's Push Across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa
18 August 2026, Singapore — LAC
Global, the health and wellness supplements business under V3 Group Limited,
has closed its acquisition of MASQUELIER'S® French Pine Bark Extract. The deal
brings more than 70 years of European nutritional science research directly
into LAC's portfolio, pairing that scientific pedigree with LAC's
already-established retail footprint across Asia.
Seven Decades of Research, Now Under One Roof
MASQUELIER'S® traces back to
the work of French scientist Professor Jack Masquelier, one of the earliest
researchers to dig into oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). What sets the
brand apart isn't just the ingredient itself but the proprietary, fingerprinted
extraction method behind it — a process backed by decades of clinical research
into how OPCs behave as antioxidants.
“Health is becoming one of the
defining priorities for consumers globally. People are living longer, but the
opportunity is to help them live better. The acquisition of MASQUELIER'S®
brings decades of European nutritional science into LAC, strengthening the
scientific foundation of our portfolio. Singapore remains our home market, and
we are grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us over the years.
We remain committed to serving them through our extensive retail presence
across Singapore's malls, even as we take LAC into new markets and pursue our
ambition to build a health and wellness brand born in Asia for consumers
globally,” said Ron Sim, Founder and Executive Chairman of V3 Group.
More Than a Product Line
MASQUELIER'S® is also the
originator and trademark holder behind MASQUELIER'S® Anthogenol, one of the
more recognizable OPC supplement names in Asia Pacific. What LAC actually
acquired here goes beyond a single product — it's the intellectual property and
scientific foundation behind an entire category. The extract itself has sold
north of 250 million tablets to date, making it one of LAC's most established
product lines across its Asian markets.
A Regional Footprint That Keeps Growing
This acquisition comes as LAC
continues expanding at pace through 2026, building on close to three decades of
organic growth across the region. The company now runs more than 250 retail
stores across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and
Vietnam, with franchise operations in Mongolia, India, Indonesia, and Thailand
rounding things out. A growing e-commerce arm supports all of that physical
presence, and LAC products are already reaching consumers in select markets
across Africa, the Middle East, and South America as well.
Behind the expansion is a
fairly clear ambition — LAC wants to be recognized as Asia's own homegrown
health and wellness brand. Through its owned retail and e-commerce channels,
backed by continued product development, the company is betting that demand for
preventive health and everyday wellness will keep climbing as populations age
and health awareness rises across the region.
What Comes Next
LAC's next moves involve going
deeper in markets it already operates in while still chasing new opportunities
elsewhere in Asia Pacific and beyond. Product innovation stays a priority too,
with continued investment aimed at preventive health, healthy aging, and the
broader shifts in what consumers actually want from their supplements.
As LAC's parent, V3 Group will keep backing that growth with
capital, operational support, and regional connections. Across its wider
portfolio, the group says it's staying focused on businesses with strong
fundamentals and long-term upside — the goal being category-leading brands
built out of Asia for a global audience.
