Grandparents Day 2016

.

Last Sunday, Sept 11,2016. We celebrated the National Grandparents Day. Me and my lola ( nanay taba ) was invited in an event in Dampa Farmers Market of The Araneta Center.

Selfie while we are waiting for the other participants to arrive at CCA where in we are going to prepare all the ingredients.

The event is about showcasing the favorite food of grandchildrens or apo like me which I will be doing in the cooking demo.

It was so funny of me that I cried so much before we even started the cooking demo. I was too emotional saying how thankful I am to my grand mother for taking care of me since I was only 5 yrs.old.

In this part. The host is asking some questions about my lola, her recipe and other things.

At exactly 12:00 in the afternoon we started the cooking demo, though we encountered some electrical or technical problem, the staff are really fast and fixed it in just few minutes.

Nanay Taba was asked to sit down while I'm doing the cooking demo. She's the "reyna of the day"or should I say "star of the event" hehehe!
I cooked Fish Steak as for my favorite dish that my Lola always cook since I was a child

These are the plaques that they gave to everyone who participated in the Cooking demo together with their grandparents

My Lola keep on telling me " yung mga bata na yun ang babait at ang gagalang no, Nene "  I answered her " Opo"
Just for everyone to know ,my Lola still call me " Nene" even I'm already in my late 30's na

Yey! I got a certificate of participation. It's one of the things that made me so happy that day! A new certificate to hang on our wall.

This is really one of the most memorable experience for me and for my Lola, I was able to say to her in a serious tone how thankful I am and blessed I am to have her as a Lola.

 Serious talk guys. . .
We all know that our grandparents are getting old and getting weak as days pass, let's make sure to make them smile and let them feel how much you love them.

"  I would  really like to say thank you to The Araneta Center ,To Ms.Carl Reyes,To Ms.Denice and To Ms.Angie who helped us for getting all the ingredients needed and all the kitchen utensils"

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
