Tefal Spherical Pot Rice Cookers with 35 cooking functions

With rice being our staple food here in the Philippines, no wonder that at a young age most of us learned how to cook it. From the traditional clay pot where it was used to be cooked then to our trusty "kalderos" at home, It takes the right amount of water and just the right flame to cook the rice and if you weren't lucky enough, you'll either toast the rice or it will end up uncooked.

Nowadays you do not need to undergo years of training to cook rice in a right manner, all you need to do is rely on your kitchen buddy rice cooker and it will do the job for you.

Rice cookers have already surpassed its sole purpose and have become a versatile kitchen appliance, aside from cooking, some find it perfect for baking, cooking viands, and many more.

So with this being said, French cookware and small domestic appliances (SDA) manufacturer Tefal’s first-of-its-kind spherical pot rice cookers have arrived in the Philippines and are set to revolutionize the way Filipinos cook their staple food.

Round in shape unlike the usual rice cooker, the Tefal Optimal, and Initial Spherical Pot Rice Cookers seem to have taken inspiration from the palayok or the traditional clay pot that Filipinos had used in the past to cook delicious rice and even viands.

Both variants use the exclusive Tefal Spherical Pot technology that makes each grain of rice fluffier, flavorful, and superior in texture. This is made possible by its 62-degree golden angle that gives the ideal circular heat convection for homogeneous and delicious cooking.

This 3D heating with uniform side, bottom, and top heat transfer give an optimal and balanced cooking performance – much better than that of the flat vertical-horizontal heating of other models. The Tefal pot rice cookers also have Artificial Intelligence Technology with Fuzzy Logic that enables the rice cookers to determine different types of ingredients and deliver the best cooking performance by automatically adjusting cooking time and temperature, to always give tasty and perfect results.

As its name suggests, the Tefal Optimal Spherical Pot Rice Cooker (RK8145) also optimizes cooking functions with its 35 built-in cooking programs that can cook a variety of ingredients beyond rice including clay pot, porridge, congee, steam, slow cook, soup, or even dessert. The Tefal Initial Spherical Pot Rice Cooker (RK7405), meanwhile, also have nine cooking programs to choose from.

Michael Yu, Marketing Director Hongkong and the Philippines of Groupe SEB Asia, the world leader in small domestic equipment that owns Tefal, said that Tefal reinvented cooking with the non-stick pan when it tried to address the need of the market for simpler, attractive and multi-functional kitchenware.

“And Tefal is still at it – reinventing cooking – this time with rice. This staple food for every Filipino is very easy to cook, and anyone can do it – and yes, you can use any kind of pot or rice cooker to do it. But for Tefal, rice cooked in just any type of pot or electric rice cooker is not enough. This is because Filipinos deserve perfectly cooked rice every time. And they can do just that with the Tefal spherical pot rice cooker. That’s why it is revolutionary,” Yu said.

The Tefal Initial Spherical Rice Cooker is available at a retail price is Php 8,999.75 while the Optimal Spherical Rice Cooker is SRP 10,999.75 and can be bought  in any  SM Home nationwide. Grab one of this now and get a 20% discount until March 15, 2019.

Tigdas/Measles: Mga Sintomas, Pagkain at Lunas

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
