Robinson's Supermarket 12th Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run

Having a buddy is great, someone that will be there for you, someone that will support you all the way and will help you achieve your goals whether it be a lifetime goal or wellness goal.

My husband and I really love to eat and we barely exercise. As the years passed by, we both gained weight and he has been diagnosed with NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) and borderline obese.

We know it is not late yet for us to start and live a healthy lifestyle, we decided to take a step to a healthy lifestyle, we wanted to start our journey to wellness by joining Robinson's Supermarket's Fit & Fun Wellness Buddy Run.

As early as 3 am I'm already up, my husband who came directly from work, waited in Alabang for me as we went together to the venue in Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City for the 12th Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run.

As we arrive at the venue, it was almost crowded with partners getting ready for the 5K and 10K race. Presented by Robinson's Supermarket, they aimed to be a part of the wellness of every Filipino family through the years.

While waiting for the race to start, the participants enjoyed the different booth that was set up by sponsors that allow the participants to try their products and bring home some goodies from Wyeth, Abbot, Nestle Philippines, Johnson, and Johnson, Unilab and other sponsors.

The buddy race started at 5:00 am for the 10K race and 5:30 am for the 5K race, my husband and I enjoyed the race as we jog, run and laugh at each other, an experience that is totally priceless.

We reached the finish line together and felt proud for ourselves and others who joined and never surrendered to reach the finish line. It was really worth every sweat.

Aside from offering a great way to bond with families, friends, and loved ones while celebrating and cultivating health and wellness, the Robinsons Supermarket Buddy Run rewarded the 5k race top finishers with 6 months worth of groceries and healthy freebies, while the 2nd and 3rd place finishers received Robinsons Supermarket Gift Certificates.

The 10K race top podium finishers received one year-worth of groceries while the 2nd place and 3rd place finishers took home Robinsons Supermarket gift certificates and healthy freebies to jump start and continue their wellness journey.

The fun run is in line with Robinsons Supermarket's wellness commitment to continuously encourage more people to choose and live healthier lifestyles. Tigdas/Measles: Mga Sintomas, Pagkain at Lunas

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
