GoWell Sun Life and Fitness First Partnership Aims To Help Filipinos Achieve A Healthy and Active Lifestyle

Sun Life Financial announced their partnership with the premiere health club Fitness First to help more Filipinos get on track with their health and wellness goals through the GoWell program.



GoWell is Sun Life's health and wellness community that promotes holistic wellness through a fit and active lifestyle, eating healthy, and living a balanced life. Its website  www.gowell.com.ph, offers fitness and wellness content with articles from experts; while community workouts and fitness classes are also offered to its members.



There will be group of classes at selected​ Fitness First branches here in the Philippines which GoWell Gold members can get it for free and all the attendees will receive token. To know more or to be updated on the GoWell upcoming class just visit the GoWell community.

Community Workouts will also be mounted jointly by Sun Life GoWell and Fitness First, while Fitness First events will also be supported by GoWell.  Moreover, a series of workout videos featuring GoWell ambassador Bubbles Paraiso and Fitness First ambassador Chris Everingham will be released regularly for the rest of the year via the GoWell website and social media to encourage more people to get fit.

But apart  from health and wellness, the partnership will also promote financial literacy.  Select Fitness First members will receive Personal Accident Insurance from Sun Life, while financial literacy sessions will be conducted for Fitness First Instructors.

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

  Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
