What do married men want for Valentine’s?

The typical Valentine’s day includes flowers, chocolates, teddy bears, heartfelt love letters and surprises – all efforts were mostly from a man, given to a very lucky woman. On the contrary, in Korea, women are the ones giving chocolates to men as a sign of love. Traditionally, men that receive these gifts will then give a gift in return on the following month to which they call “White Day”. This is a perfect way to let your man know that they too are indeed important on Valentine’s day.

This year, I decided to mimic this Korean tradition and asked married men on what they want to receive for Valentine’s day. Here’s what they had to say:

#8. Stove, cook set, tarp, sleeping pad – This sporty hubby is always on the go and is into mountain climbing. He and his wife always make sure to climb mountains at least once a month. Nothing is more blissful than awesome mountaineering stuff while enjoying the stars with your loved one.

#7. Crafting supplies – This daddy is into handcraft business. Their products can go from wedding needs, birthday souvenirs to corporate giveaways. Even on Valentine’s day, this daddy still wants what’s best for their business.

#6. World peace – Seriously, who wouldn’t want world peace? This daddy of two when asked further explained he wanted serenity and just a peaceful night with his significant other.

#5. A good massage – After a long day at work, wouldn’t it be satisfying to have a good massage? This friend of mine says he’s been working his ass off for a little while now and full body massage in a cozy spa will be a perfect gift for him this Valentine’s day.

#4. Quality time with wife – Similar to daddy who wants “world peace”, this hubby said it’s been a while since he last spent quality time with his wife. In this world full of fast-paced dramas, he wanted to spend V-day with the most important person in his life.

#3. Handkerchief – This daddy of a lovely kid feels incomplete without his hankie. He said that it’s one of his must-haves when going out.

#2. A romantic date with a home-cooked meal – This request from 2 of my best buddies is nothing but pure love and is actually keenly priced! Imagine the classic candlelit dinner with your favorite dish prepared with so much affection. This by far is my favorite!

#1. An intimate moment with a loved one – I’ve received multiple replies that this is still the best among the best V-day gift. It costs nothing – hence economical. You don’t have to prepare anything, you just have to be there – yup, right beside him.

I personally felt it’s about time to shy away from the norms that Valentine’s day means giving chocolates, flowers, stuffed toys to girls. This should not be the day of having our husband spend money and effort to us wives. Even the toughest dad gets a little mushy sometimes. So get yourself moving and make him feel special this Valentine’s day (wink).

Tigdas/Measles: Mga Sintomas, Pagkain at Lunas

Dengue is Real, Keep Your Child Safe with OFF! Lotion

Our Family is always our top priority. It was September of 2015 when my daughter was hospitalized and turned out to be positive for Dengue, as a mom I was so scared. Nurses always come in to our room every 6 hours to get blood sample from my daughter for them to monitor her platelet count.  It was an unpleasant sight for me to see my daughter in that condition at her young age. When my daughter cries due to the pain of needle inserted to her skin, it was a more painful scene and sound for me, wishing that all of what I see and hear are not real, it was really heart breaking. It was that same month in which Dengue case was really prominent and a lot of kids are being rushed to the same hospital to be treated, we stayed in the hospital for more than a week for my daughter's recovery and since then, I always said to my self "Never Again" that I will allow this to happen and was thankful to God that she guided my daughter Before our stay in the ho...
