Kidpreneurs has given a head start at Commercenter’s Biz Kids

There is no such thing as "too young" if your kids have an interest in entrepreneurship, giving them an idea and nurturing their interest, gives them an edge in their future or can even make them possibly a millionaire in the making.

There was a time when the word “business” was just synonymous to adults working the daily grind. Today, when you go online, there’s a long list of young, self-made millionaires who made it big as kid entrepreneurs. Although stories of successful child entrepreneurs are no longer uncommon, they still never fail to amaze most grownups because of the degree of creativity, determination, courage and business acumen these kidpreneurs have had at an early age.

Commercenter Alabang, the premier lifestyle hub in Alabang, is extended a hand to budding young entrepreneurs through its  Biz Kids Expo last July 28 and 29, 2018. The weekend bazaar provided an avenue for aspiring child entrepreneurs to turn their million-dollar business ideas into an actual business venture.

The Biz Kids Expo is a one-of-a-kind marketplace that will bring together products, wares, and services that have either been carefully crafted or sourced out by young entrepreneurs. More than just a venue to sell and showcase their merchandise, the expo aims to encourage the spirit of innovation, as well as share the value of entrepreneurship and responsible financing to children as young as five to 12 years old.

Similar to setting up an actual business, the participating kids at the Biz Kids expo were selected based on their project proposals, the uniqueness of their product/s, and product presentation.

In collaboration with CMA Mental Arithmetic, kid entrepreneurs were taught how to cost products and compute for revenue using basic mental math techniques and an abacus. The La Vie Institute, on the other hand, trained kids on how to present themselves to prospective customers, and initiate good customer interaction.

It was more than an expo, during the event, I roam around and tried to see the interesting products that these kidpreneurs sell, I saw how the kids worked to manage their own booth while doing a sales pitch and trying to entertain all their possible customers with all their heart.

To further encourage participants, Commercenter provided the exhibit venue for free to all Biz Kids participants. This will enable young business owners to keep all the proceeds of their sales, which they can then use for future business ventures.

Exceptional Biz Kids entrepreneurs were also given awards on the last day of the fair. These include Most Innovative Biz, Most Visited Booth/Crowd Favorite, Best Booth Design, Creative Marketing, and Sales Genius.

Tigdas/Measles: Mga Sintomas, Pagkain at Lunas

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
