Common Health Risks for People who works in BPO Companies

I started working in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry way back 2007. Being a college undergraduate, I had to support my family and BPO had been my only hope. I worked as a Senior Account Representative in one of the biggest telecommunication company here in the Philippines but the income will not suffice my family’s daily needs. I must say that BPO had been a great help for me and my family. Working in a BPO will definitely help you financially. In return, you will have a lot to sacrifice. You will have sleep deprivation since you will be working at night most of the time (graveyard shifts). You will not even notice the date, as most of the accounts you will be working for have different time zones. You will turn to foods, (comfort foods) when you are burned and stressed out. You will have less and less time to exercise. As a result, many call center employees are obese. Common Health Risk  Obesity Diabetes Carpal Tunnel  Syndrome  Bone Loss Ulcer Anem

Why Potatoes Are Good for Pregnant Moms

Nutrition is very important for everyone, especially for soon-to-be moms. When I was pregnant, I was very conscious of my baby’s health and safety in my tummy. And I’m sure us parents agree that dietary and lifestyle choices have a great impact on the health of babies. During pregnancy, you are not the only one who is eating, the baby in your tummy also eats with you. You need to consume enough vitamins and minerals to meet your daily dietary needs. And it goes without saying that you need to munch on healthy and nutritious food, not just anything you feel like eating. When I was pregnant, I refrained from eating rice and replaced it with fruits and vegetables, eating hard boiled eggs and boiled potatoes really helped me out, too. Yes, potatoes! My doctor told me that potatoes are rich in potassium. Would you believe it has more potassium than a banana?  Also, a medium size potato (5.2 oz) with skin on only has 110 calories. Combine that with some eggs and fruits and yo

Unhealthy habit such as eating junk food, drinking to much sodas and other salthy foods can be dangerous to our health especially to kids. Last  Thursday, December 06, 2018 I was invited to witness the announcement of  Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista  about building a #healthierQC in a commitment to fight non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the leading cause of death in the world today.  It was held at FEU Diliman Quezon City. This initiative is in collaboration with Partnership for Healthy Cities (PHC), a global network of cities led by Michael R.
