TKM Adventure in Rizal: A Visit To The Art Capital of The Philippines

Image
"ART is not what you see, but what you make others see" - Edgar Degas

I'm feeling under the weather since last week. So when I received an invitation to explore the Art Capital of the Philippines which is  Angono Rizal, I immediately said "Yes!" I once heard that ART is a reflection of life. This is one of the reasons why I love to look at a painting. I want to know what is the artist's message using his/her paintbrush and canvas.
From our meeting place in Makati to Angono, Rizal it took us about 1 hour and a half to our first destination.
Itinerary:
➤ Angono Petroglyphs ➤ Carlos Botong Francisco Art Gallery ➤ Balaw Balaw  ➤ Blanco Family Museum ➤ Pinto Art Museum

Angono Rizal Tunnel This is the only easy way going in and out of the Angono Petroglyphs.

ANGONO PETROGLYPHS ENTRANCE FEE: Adult: 20.00 Student: 10.00 ( PETROGLYPH means Rock Carving from the Historic times.)
The Angono Petroglyphs is the oldest known work of art in the Philippines. It was discovered by the late…

Taste The Ultimate Lechon Belly at KING BELLY

Image
Recently, We've been to Marikina to try a fast food chain called "King Belly".
Located just beside Marikina Riverbanks, the store opened last November 2016 giving tasty and heartwarming meals to every family and diners.

The location has the view of the riverbanks and you can also eat outside to appreciate the place further. After the food was served, the first thing that I tried was their lechon belly, being the main attraction of the store, their lechon belly is more than just a front liner, this is the fruit of all the experience of the owner being a corporate chef and a dash of dreams and vision for better food. on my journey of tasting the boneless lechon belly I can immediately say that it was bursting with flavor and I can also say that it was the ultimate LECHON BELLY I tasted, the aroma was very tempting, not to mention the flavor of the pork belly that makes you want more. and when the say BONELESS LECHON BELLY, it really means "BONELESS", you won'…

MAYOR PAROJINOG CELEBRATES BROTHERHOOD AND CAMARADERIE

Image
January 25 was a memorable day as Mayor Reynaldo “Áldong” Parojinog celebrates brotherhood and camaraderie among his peers and the local tribe of Ozamiz in lieu with his birthday.

Held at his farm, present were members of various local government units, along with the various mayors of the province of Misamis Occidental as spearheaded by Governor Herminia M. Ramiro; all to show that they support his endeavors and display unity in the said province.  Not only was it attended by political people, members of the local tribe of Subanen was also present to show their appreciation to all his efforts in preserving their cultural heritage – one of the reasons as to why  Ozamiz City was awarded the Seal of Good Local Governance last 2016.

Showing their appreciation and acceptance of the mayor, the present Subanen tribesmen conducted a small blessing and brotherhood ceremony over the mayor; no small feat knowing the value and importance of this ceremony between the tribe and its acknowledged m…
