Freshly Relaunched: Nestlé Homebakers Club Whips Up Business Success for Homebakers

Manila, Philippines – May 24, 2024 – In the same month as World Baking Day, Nestlé All Purpose Cream announced the successful relaunch of the Nestlé Homebakers Club, an online community dedicated to empowering homebakers to enhance their skills, explore entrepreneurial opportunities, and connect with like-minded enthusiasts. The inaugural episode of the series "Bake to Basics" was held on May 23 and streamed live on Facebook, attracting an enthusiastic audience of baking aficionados from across the country.

Hosted by Chef Jackie Ang-Po and featuring guest expert homebaker and business owner Kathy Apole-Sarmiento of KathyBakesPH, the event engaged viewers with a blend of practical baking demonstrations, insightful business advice, and Q&A sessions. Chef Jackie kicked off the event expressing her excitement about the return of the Homebakers Club and encouraging viewers to actively participate and ask questions.

The highlight of the event was the live bake-along session, where Chef Jackie and Kathy demonstrated how to make a classic baked macaroni and everyone’s favorite chocolate cake respectively, perfect for those looking to start their own home baking business. Kathy particularly shared her journey from homebaker to business owner, providing tips on mastering recipes, managing costs, and effectively marketing products.

"Baking has always been my passion, and turning it into a business has been a rewarding experience," said Kathy. "My love for baking comes from my mom, who was an incredible baker. I started baking for my own family, and over time, I fine-tuned my skills by seeking honest feedback from friends, family, and even experts. I also utilized online resources to continually improve. Being part of an inspiring community that shares your keen interest can get you the support and resources for growth."

In addition to the live demonstrations, the event featured a poll where viewers were asked about the help they need for their business. The interactive format allowed for real-time responses to audience questions, and rewarded participants with Homebakers Kits that included Masflex cookware and Nestle All Purpose Cream products to inspire more culinary creations. The sense of community was reinforced with discussions on the benefits of joining the Nestlé Homebakers Club, including access to exclusive content, online classes, expert advice, and networking opportunities.
