A Beginner’s Guide: Stocking Up On Essential Cookware And Kitchenware

If you are just getting acquainted with the room in your house in which you can prepare food, the first thing you should know is that it is called a kitchen. Did you know this one? Of course, I know you did. But, I would so like to hear different suggestions for the name. “Food burner? That thingy that feeds you?” If you have a creative solution, please, DO share it.

But, let’s stop kidding around for a short while. At least as long as it takes us to learn some basics. I don’t know about you, but as a beginner in the world of cooking, I wouldn’t want to burn my kitchen down on the first try. I don’t know what would be worse – the fact that I no longer own a kitchen, or all the teasing and laughing I’d get from my friends and family. I would have to move to a different country to avoid their comments.

Therefore, when starting out on this adventure, do it carefully and cautiously. But, also, give yourself some freedom to experiment. I know this sounds paradoxical, but that’s the exact recipe for becoming a cooking master. What’s that? No, I didn’t say “cookie monster”, I said “cooking master”. You might want to learn these kitchen terms, you know.

And what’s the first step towards turning you into a chef par excellence? Well, guess what, it’s shopping. I bet you like the sound of this. But, no, I’m not talking about buying that cute, fancy bag that was on sale. I’m talking about shopping for the most necessary tools in order to even be able to step into the kitchen.

Read more about that here:

Stocking Up

In order to stock your drawers with the most essential instruments, you have to act strategically. There is no point in getting just about anything you come across. To be honest, if you don’t know much about cooking, there’s a fair chance that you might make a few mistakes here and there. And, of course, a few mistakes won’t make a difference. But, imagine spending hundreds and thousands of things you probably won’t need.

So, don’t just storm out to the nearest shop. Do some planning ahead. A few online searches won’t do you harm. Why you might even buy everything you need online if that seems like an easier option. For me, it definitely is, since I can read about the product in a separate tab before deciding to put it in the cart.

Now, I guess your kitchen is not completely empty. You probably have some glasses, plates, silverware, and a pan here and there. If you are a total beginner like me, then you probably own more cute tea and coffee cups than the things you put in the oven. In any case, you have some freshening up to do. You don’t become the next Jamie Oliver with a bag of instant coffee and a spoon to stir things up.

In order to really stir things up, you should look for the best tools online like the Our Place essential kitchenware. Wait until your friends see that, huh? Now they will definitely have nothing to laugh at. In fact, I’m pretty sure they will envy me… I mean, envy you. So, here’s my list of three beginner’s indispensable kitchen tools.

Chef’s Knife

Naturally, if you are planning on preparing a meal or two, you will have to do some cutting. You can’t just put a whole tomato in a salad, can you? And you can only imagine how difficult it would be to prepare a whole beef. After all, you are a beginner and not a pro.
So, the first thing you want to invest in is a good, sharp chef’s knife. In addition to it having a sharp blade, you want the knife to have a fitting handle too. It has to be easy to use. Of course, pay attention to the material and choose a durable product. You don’t want to have to replace it weekly.

Cutting Board

Now that you have a knife, you need something to use it on. It wouldn’t be very wise to damage your countertop by cutting directly on it. That’s why your next vital kitchenware is a cutting board. These can be made from various materials, but everyone seems to agree that the wooden ones are the best. And who am I to argue with the experts? Read this.

Pan

How would you be able to do any cooking at all without this marvelous invention? Depending on what you exactly need, you might choose among saucepans, frying pans, and all kinds of different pans. Nowadays, there are even those multi-purpose pans that do the work of a bunch of additional cookware. That might be just the thing a beginner needs.

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
