Nido 3+/5+ empowers parents to say Yes and Let Go!

Is it ok for us parents to be overprotective to our kids? Being protective of your is a child is natural for parents especially for mother's. But I've read that being too overprotected can cause more harm to the child, it increases the child anxiety when they are not allowed to overcome their fear.

Honestly, I'm one of the so-called "helicopter mom", I really pay close attention to my children, their problems, emotion, and experiences. I usually say " No" to the things or situation that they might get hurt emotionally and physically. I'm not allowing them to face their fear, learn and enjoy what usually kids love to do.

With this being said, I noticed my daughter becoming a little bit aloof and unexpressive when it comes to her emotions and that is the reason that I allowed her to learn things on her own way with proper guidance, and that really turned things around.

Like children, parents also should learn to say Yes and Let Go! This is what I've learned during the Nido 3+/5+ City Challenge last October 27, 2018, held at Kidzania Manila. Nido 3+/5+ teaches and empowers parent/s like me to say Yes and Let Go of our kids, letting them explore, learn, and appreciate the real world through fun, educational, role-playing.

The Nido City Challenge features a series of strategically-designed activities that aims to help parents guide their growing-up kids. Unfortunately, I was not able to bring Chelsea with me because of her health condition that day.

The activities within the Nido 3+/5+ City Challenge highlight special learning processes important to kids in their crucial growing-up years, while it gives parents the opportunity to be part of it through their guidance.

The activities help kids with their:

  • Socio-emotional Development
This one is promoted through challenges where parents and kids team up together, establishing a good working relationship whole teaching their kids to manage their emotions.
  • Language Skills
This is promoted as parents and kids need to effectively communicate with each other to complete the challenges.

  •  Cognitive Skills
This was enhanced through a task that requires problem solving, memory and decision making.

During the process, parents were also able to aid their kids in exercising their motor skills with various movements from various challenges like dancing, carrying or delivering of goods to the fine motor such as writing.

Tigdas/Measles: Mga Sintomas, Pagkain at Lunas

Nutri 10 Plus, Vitamins Perfect For Child's Growing Needs

Summer is already here. The temperature last week was 34°c and its getting hotter everyday. We have to open our windows to make sure that we won't get suffocated because of the heat. Summer is also the season of flu, bacteria that can cause cough and build up of phlegm. Kids should always be geared with proper protection. Their body needs protection from harmful diseases. That's why I was so thankful that I used Nutri 10 vitamins for my Chelsea. This is the kind of vitamins that she really need. For sure most of you know that Chelsea is a picky eater. She only eat if we have Sinigang or gravy that she put in her steamed rice. After taking Nutri 10 for almost a month now. I noticed some changes in her appetite and daily routine.  Before, Chelsea stays up until 2 am and wakes up around 11 am. Thankfully that routine changed and she also started to eat vegetables. As a mom I'm always worried because I know that she is not getting the right nutrients that her

A quick trip down holiday memory lane

Can you feel it? The cold breeze, holiday songs, festive decorations, and colorful lights and lanterns… it’s Christmas season, everybody! Filipinos are known to celebrate Christmas the longest – it starts with the BER months and ends in January. Along with parties and get-togethers, we also have different traditions to celebrate the yuletide season. Since I was a kid, I associated grapes and round fruits with the holiday season. My grandma used to buy a lot of grapes during the BER months and placed them on our table along with other fruits. The grapes were also hung on windows and doors to help bring in good fortune for the coming year. I remember her asking me who was eating the grapes as she noticed that they were slowly “disappearing” and I said it must have been my aunties and our cat. But… It was silly me all along, of course! My aunties ended up buying more, much to my delight.   For Christmas eve, my aunties and grandma would make their delicious fruit salad – a huge can of f
